Christendom Volleyball Falls to Mary Baldwin in Four Sets
Staunton, Va.- The Christendom Crusaders women's volleyball team battled hard on the road Tuesday night but came up short in a 3–1 loss to Mary Baldwin University. The Crusaders took the opening set 25–15 with strong offensive rhythm and energy but were unable to maintain momentum, dropping the next three sets 14–25, 12–25, and 17–25.
Leading the Crusaders' attack was Serenity Fedoryka, who delivered a standout performance with 15 kills and a .197 hitting percentage, continuing her strong form at the net. Elizabeth Reese set the offense in motion with 18 assists, while Aimie Simpson led the defense with 10 digs, helping keep Christendom competitive through long rallies.
Despite the loss, the Crusaders showed flashes of their potential, especially in their dominant first set and improved communication on both ends of the court. The team now stands at 5–13 on the season.
Christendom Volleyball Falls to Penn State York on the Road
York, Pa.- The Christendom Crusaders women's volleyball team dropped a 3–0 decision to Penn State York on Friday evening, with set scores of 25–14, 25–14, and 25–16.
Despite the loss, the Crusaders showed strong defensive effort throughout the match. Aimie Simpson led the back row with 17 digs while also contributing 6 assists, and Kate Reese added 10 digs to help contain York's attack. At the net, Serenity Fedoryka recorded 6 kills and 4 blocks, providing a solid presence on both offense and defense. Lucy Stahl matched Simpson with 6 assists, helping distribute the ball across the attack.
Up Next: With the results, Christendom moves to 5–13 on the season. The Crusaders will look to regroup and defend their home court when they face Cheyney University on Thursday, October 9.
