Crusaders Cap Season with 13–3 Rout Over Patrick Henry
Front Royal, Va. – The Christendom Crusaders closed out their 2025 campaign in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 13–3 win over Patrick Henry in their season finale. With the victory, the Crusaders finish the season at 12–19, showing grit and momentum down the stretch.
O'Hara Leads the Charge
Sophomore standout Matt O'Hara paced the offense with a 2-for-3 performance, driving in four runs. He put Christendom back in front for good with a towering three-run home run to left field in the third inning and added an RBI single during the Crusaders' explosive fourth.
"Matt's bat gave us the spark we needed today," said head coach [Coach's Name]. "He's been clutch all year, and he stepped up again."
How It Happened
After a scoreless first inning, Christendom broke through in the bottom of the second.

Rowland Thornberry ripped a double to center to score the game's first run.

George Storey followed with a well-placed infield single, bringing in another run to give the Crusaders a 2–0 lead.
Patrick Henry responded in the top of the third with three runs of their own, briefly taking a 3–2 lead off a two-RBI triple and an RBI single.
But the Crusaders didn't waste time swinging the momentum back. In the bottom of the third:

Matt O'Hara launched a three-run homer, reclaiming the lead, 5–3.
Christendom blew the game wide open in the fourth inning, sending 10 batters to the plate and racking up six runs on seven hits:

Gus Coleman, Peter Sullivan, Joe Romero, and O'Hara each notched RBI singles.

Edmund Thomas delivered the knockout blow with a two-RBI double to left-center.
By the end of the frame, Christendom led 11–3 and never looked back.
