Bio

Jim Bell was named head coach of Christendom College Softball in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience in coaching, player development, and strength and conditioning. Prior to joining Christendom, Bell coached at Briar Woods High School in Northern Virginia, serving as both an assistant and head coach. He also spent six years coaching travel softball in the competitive Loudoun County circuit, where he helped develop and mentor numerous athletes who went on to play at the collegiate level across all divisions.

A dynamic and analytical coach, Bell is known for his passion for recruiting, scouting, and building players from the ground up. He is a firm believer in the value of game analytics and takes pride in fostering a culture built on fundamentals, disciplined conditioning, and strong team unity. His approach emphasizes not only competitive success, but also character, accountability, and long-term development.

Bell holds national certification in Strength and Conditioning and is a Level 1 and Level 2 certified coach through USA Weightlifting, bringing a high-performance training mindset to Christendom Softball. Off the field, he is deeply committed to the academic and personal growth of his players, encouraging excellence in the classroom and a lifestyle that reflects the mission and values of Christendom College and its Athletic Department.
