FRONT ROYAL, Va. — The Christendom College men's soccer team suffered a tough 2–1 loss to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday during Homecoming Weekend.
Senior captain Niall Maguire put the Crusaders ahead early, finding the back of the net in the 8th minute to give Christendom a 1–0 lead. The Crusaders held that advantage deep into the second half before Allegheny equalized in the 76th minute. The visitors then struck again in the 82nd minute to complete the comeback.
Despite several late opportunities, Christendom couldn't find the tying goal.
Up Next: With the result, the Crusaders fall to 3–6–1 on the season. Christendom will look to bounce back on Tuesday, October 7, when they travel to face Patrick Henry.
