    Soccer star Pete Day can add another accomplishment to his storied college athletic career: being named to Virginia’s College Division All-State Soccer Team. The Virginia Sports Information Directors named Day, who finished 2nd in goals and points scored nationally for the USCAA, to the All-State first team, featuring the best players in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • New Sports Physicians Ready to Assist College Athletes

    Sports seasons can be a grind, as athletes give their all to try and help their teams succeed day in and day out. At Christendom, the athletic department is seeking to make these seasons as easy as possible on students’ bodies, resulting in a new partnership with Performance Sport and Spine — a team of sports physicians committed to helping Christendom athletes avoid injuries as much as possible, making them that much more of a force on the field, the court, and in the classroom.
  • Christendom Athletes Named Top Players by USCAA, CCRC

    Christendom's student-athletes were awarded top honors by the USCAA at their annual awards banquet on November 8, with two athletes awarded the organization's prestigious Student-Athlete of the Year awards, while numerous others named to the organization's All-American teams. In addition, the Cardinals Collegiate Rugby Conference named six Crusaders to their All-Conference teams, making this fall one of the most awards-decorated in school history.
  • Pete Day Breaks Scoring Record in 1-1 Tie against Washington Adventist

    Twenty-one minutes and forty seconds into Christendom's regular season finale against Washington Adventist, Senior Pete Day found the back of the net.  The goal was Day's twenty-sixth of the year, tying his own single-season record for goals and setting a new school record for career goals (82).
  • Week Recap: Rugby And Soccer Score Big Wins Over Homecoming Weekend

    A roaring crowd and an offensive onslaught helped lead the Christendom Crusaders rugby team to its second straight win over the Homecoming weekend, defeating Washington and Lee University 53-38. The Crusader soccer team followed that game with its own victory, thrashing Valley Forge 7-0, while the Lady Crusaders volleyball team won its 11th straight and the Lady Crusaders soccer team fell 7-0 to Howard Community College.
  • Week Recap: Volleyball Sweeps Tournament, Rugby Defeats VCU

    The USCAA #3 ranked Lady Crusader volleyball team added another accomplishment to its sterling season this weekend: a 1st place finish at the CCBC Essex Volleyball tournament, bringing home another trophy for Christendom athletics. Elsewhere, the Crusader rugby team picked up its second win of the season with a 24-5 win over Virginia Commonwealth University. The Lady Crusader soccer team shutout Trinity University 9-0, and the Crusader Cross-Country team placed 3rd at the Frostburg State Invitational.
  • Crusaders Score Top Rankings in USCAA Coaches' Poll

    Three of Christendom’s USCAA athletic teams scored top rankings in the first Coaches’ Poll of the fall, with women’s volleyball ranking #3, men’s soccer #5, and women’s soccer #11. The Coaches’ Poll is decided by every coach in the USCAA, making it the definitive ranking system and making this accomplishment for Christendom that much more notable.
  • Week Recap: Soccer Beats Marymount, Rugby Falls

    Pete Day led the way for Crusader soccer, with his heroics lifting the team over D-III Marymount University 4-3 this past week. The Crusaders capped off their perfect week with an 11-0 win over Southern State, while rugby fell to the Northern Virginia Griffins, Lady Crusader Soccer lost to Hagerstown Community College, and Lady Crusader Volleyball defeated Penn State Mont Alto.
  • Crusaders Overcome Marymount in Close Game

    On Thursday, Christendom welcomed D-III Marymount University to our campus for the first time. In the second-ever meeting between these two squads, the Crusaders again came away with a one-goal victory, winning 4-3 in a hard-fought match.

    On Thursday, September 20th, Christendom College will welcome the Marymount University Saints to our campus for the first time for a matchup in Men's Soccer. This will be the Crusaders' second ever matchup against Marymount, a NCAA D-III school, the first being a visit to their campus in September 2017.

    The Crusader athletic teams are back in season, with each of Christendom’s fall sports competing over Labor Day weekend. Both men’s and women’s soccer teams emerged victorious from their opening games, while volleyball competed in the USCAA Tip-Off Invitational and cross-country made a strong showing at the Bridgewater Invitational.
  • Crusaders Start Season With Win Over Berkeley-New Jersey

    The Crusaders started their season off with a hard-fought win against the Berkeley-New Jersey Bulldogs. Christendom got on the board early, with Sophomore Joe O'Reilly scoring in the 9th minute off of a pass from Freshman Nicholas Foeckler.

  • Seniors Sent Off With Sports Banquet

    On May 2nd, the athletics department held its annual end-of-year sports banquet.  At the banquet, the athletics department honored our graduating seniors with personal plaques commemorating their years of participation in Christendom varsity sports, as well as honoring Sophomore Ian Heisler with his USCAA Player of the Week Award for his no-hitter thrown on March 3rd.

    During the last meeting between these two teams earlier this season, Patrick Henry scored twice before the Crusaders were able to come back and end with a 4-2 win. This time the Crusaders were looking for a shutout win to impress the homecoming crowd.

  • Crusaders Lose to Potomac State College, First Loss of Season

    Christendom College Men’s Soccer team played at Potomac State College Wednesday night September 23 2015. The Crusaders have never beaten Potomac State before. The game started off with the Crusaders dominating the control of the game. Within the first 10 min of the game, the Crusaders had a few good chances to score, but were unable to convert. In the 35th minute, Potomac State had a long throw-in that was tipped into the box. The ball fell to one of their players who easily passed it into the net. The first half ended with the Crusaders down 1-0.
